A good homestay experience is an extremely important element of student life; if students are happy at home, they are happy at school.
It is important that the homestay provider is happy and enjoys having the students in their home. Our accommodation and welfare director spends a lot of time and care finding our host families and is in school every day in case you have any questions or difficulties. We listen to your preferences (some people don't want to live with pets, for example) and we can also cater for special diets, e.g. vegetarian or halal. Our homestay providers are located across the city, with the minimum distance 0.2 miles from the school, and the maximum 6 miles from the school. Travel times can range between 5 minutes and 50 minutes, and bus routes are provided for you in advance.
The most important factors to consider are that the homestay providers should offer a comfortable home which is clean, tidy and safe, where all members of the household are welcoming to people from different countries and cultures and which has a friendly, happy and caring atmosphere and, above all, where the student is treated as a member of the family rather than as a paying guest.
