Being away from home, perhaps for the first time, is not always easy and can feel a little daunting. Here at Capital School of English we do all that we can to make that experience a little easier and less stressful. Capital School takes safeguarding very seriously and accept that we have a duty of care towards all our students and staff. We want everyone to feel safe, secure and happy during their stay in Cardiff – the well-being of our students is as important as their academic development.
At the school, we have an experienced and caring Welfare Director and support staff and all our teachers are trained in safeguarding and are DBS checked. The office is open 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday and we have an emergency phone number which is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outside school, our homestays are carefully selected and regularly re-inspected to ensure that your homestay experience is safe as well as enjoyable. All activities are led by trained support staff and complete risk assessments are carried out on all excursions and activities.
